By questioning the narrative we are being fed and considering different ideas, one can discern if we are being socially programmed or conditioned. Using logical inquiry is crucial to discerning the truth and ultimately VITAL to our growth and evolution. Cognitive dissonance to new ideas and possibilities initially creates mental friction that can be uncomfortable, but learning how to sit with it and becoming conscious is the only way to determine what is TRUE. Tune in to learn more!

In this episode, we are talking about social engineering or it could be called social programming, social conditioning or social priming. Before I get into it, I want to pose a question to you. Do you believe that it’s possible that there’s a group of individuals who are operating behind the scenes, hidden from plain view, that are intentionally engineering the way that they want society to go for their own purposes? Maybe those agendas are hidden from view because if people saw them in plain sight, they would reject them out of hand. Has that ever happened in the history of humanity? Is it possible that it’s happening now? Is it possible that a small group of individuals is behind these scenes pulling strings to make society go the way that they want to go for their own purposes?
That’s the kind of the question that I want you to consider. As you consider this, I want to point out that you will encounter some cognitive dissonance, and that’s okay. What is cognitive dissonance? It is a psychological term for the thing that happens inside your brain when you hold two conflicting beliefs or thought systems at the same time. It creates this friction. It can be very uncomfortable until you really learn to sit with it.
I want you to know that cognitive dissonance is normal. The second thing is that you are safe to consider other perspectives. One of the things that have been lost, is the process of logical inquiry and being able to consider ideas that are different than maybe what we were taught by our parents, religious systems or school that, “This is the way that it is. This is the way that we do it.” We accept those things. They are ingrained in us and we believe them to be true.
When a new idea comes in and it conflicts with how we believe things are or what we believe is true, we have to be able to consider that idea, wrestle with it, compare it to our existing ideas, and then decide what’s true hopefully with the guidance of your internal compass and the Holy Spirit. You are safe to do that because right at the end of logical inquiry, you can get to the point where you decide to stay with your old belief system and that’s perfectly okay. If you are not doing this process regularly, not considering ideas, and holding them up to what you have believed prior to that new idea coming in, you are not growing. This is how we grow and evolve.
It is absolutely impossible to have what can only be considered a spiritual awakening until you are willing and able to undergo cognitive dissonance because new ideas and thought systems are always presenting themselves to us. If we reject them out of hand, “No, I won’t look at that. I won’t think about that,” then you are not going to have the opportunity to awaken to new ideas and possibilities.
This is how humanity evolves and grows for lack of a better term. Think about when we used to think that in recent medical history. In the last couple of hundred years, we used to think that sickness was caused by bad blood. The doctors or experts at the time would actually cut someone’s vein open and drain their blood out of their body so that they could get better. Obviously, we know now with science and advanced instrumentation study that’s the worst thing you could do for somebody to blood-let them when they are trying to recover, similarly, with germ theory.
An agenda is at play when you cannot question the accepted narrative. Click To TweetThere are all these studies done about doctors that were birthing babies. They were going from room to room without washing their hands because they didn’t know about microbes. They wouldn’t wash their hands and then the mother would get sepsis or infection and die. Nobody knew why that was. When they discovered that doctors seemed to have clean hands, it was a simple solution. That new information had to come in.
One thing that is instructive to this is the heliocentric model of the universe. Back before the Renaissance, there was this idea or this commonly known and accepted fact that the Earth was the center of the universe and that everything orbited around the Earth. We know now that everything orbits around the sun. Heliocentric means that the sun is the center of the universe. All the scientists at the time believed that the Earth was the center of the universe.
When Copernicus and Galileo came along and posited this new idea that, “It’s the Earth that’s actually rotating the sun,” they were persecuted and thrown in jail. Why? It’s because of cognitive dissonance. They weren’t allowed to question the narrative of the day. This is how social conditioning and programming occur. There’s a narrative and a story that’s accepted. The reason why the church was behind the persecution of Galileo and Copernicus is that the church wanted and needed people to believe that the Earth was the center of the universe to prop up some of their theological structures of the time.
The church was the one that was persecuting and imprisoning these scientists for bringing these new thoughts or belief systems forward for consideration. I always say, as a coach, it’s not my job to tell you what to think but I do see it as my job or calling to teach you how to think. This is how you do it. This is how you think. It’s a lost art and skill in our society. Critical thinking, public discourse, and dialogue are what absolutely is needed for you to form a solid belief system that’s yours. That’s not just handed to you by your parents, religion or school system.
That’s very dangerous. There’s a narrative that’s being promoted that you can’t question without fear of persecution. That’s your cue that there’s an agenda. Spoiler alert, when there’s a narrative that is being promoted that you can’t question, that you are out of favor, grace, or the group, maybe you are even put in jail or punished for even bringing up the question of maybe, “Is there another way? Is this true? Could there be something else at play?” That’s your clue right there that an agenda is at play when you cannot question the accepted narrative.
Cognitive dissonance is the ability to have that discourse, even just within yourself, where you are like, “I believe in option A but this option B has now come into my awareness. I’m going to compare and hold the two at the same time. I’m going to sit in that discomfort and ascertain or discern what is the actual truth.” This begs the question, “What’s the difference? What is the actual truth?” There’s objective truth. Objective truth is based on the object. It’s not based on the observer. That means that it’s true no matter what. Nothing changes that it’s true.
There’s subjective truth, which is based on the perception of the person. You can have subjective truth that is absolutely true for you. The funny thing is that we are so powerful in our co-creative abilities that we can 100% affect our reality with our beliefs. You will create a system and reality around yourself that supports your beliefs while not being the objective truth, while your reality and beliefs are being true for you are not the objective truth.
This could be really positive and good news if your beliefs are good beliefs or it can be negative and damaging if your beliefs are negative. Let me give you an example. Let’s say that the objective truth, that I believe this is true, is that the universe that we live in is abundant and that God is good. There is a good God that is a loving father being that wants good things for you and wants to bless you. There’s plenty for everyone and that righteousness, which is a state of being aligned, peace, which is a calm feeling, nothing missing, nothing broken, and joy is your birthright. That’s the object of truth. I believe that in my whole heart.
Let’s say that you believe that the universe that we live in, our reality is negative, scary, it’s scarce, there’s never enough to go around, and people are out to get you. You have to scrape, scrimp and be miserable to survive. Guess what your reality is going to be? It is going to be based on your belief system because based on your patterning, you are going to draw in, attract, and arrange what you are focusing on to match what you believe. Your beliefs are incredibly important. You always need to be looking at what you are believing.
You always need to be the observer of the dialogue that’s going on in your head, the belief to see if it serves you or it lines up with objective truth and if it’s getting you where you want to go. When you are not doing the logical inquiry, and you are just accepting the narrative of what has been presented to you, you are absolutely 100% a prime candidate for social conditioning and social engineering because you are like a blank sheet of paper that anybody can write what they want to write on you.
If it’s repeated often enough, usually people will accept it as truth. If it’s repeated by your parents, teachers, religious leaders, on the news, if it’s constantly repeated over and over again in movies, media, and popular culture, repetition equals truth to the human brain. It’s important to ask yourself, “Is it possible that someone is intentionally programming society the way that they want them to go?” That is possible. Not only that, I believe it’s happening. Not only is this a new phenomenon but these groups of people are ancient and are playing the long game over generations, so what is passed on from generation to generation, is solidifying and strengthening the narrative.
A great example of that is the frog in the water. I don’t know if this is scientifically true but it illustrates the point perfectly. If you came to the World War II generation and presented the idea of socialism, to them, that’s boiling water. They would jump out of the pot that was boiling. Over generations, if you insert the ideas of socialism and get maybe the celebrities to champion the ideas of socialism, get some uncomfortable things going on like debt, student loans, and not enough to pay your bills and make society so hard to be prosperous and abundant. Also, inject these ideas little over little, it’s turning up the flame and raising the temperature of the water a little bit at a time until the frog doesn’t jump out because it doesn’t know it and it’s boiling to that.
When I said socialism, that might have triggered some cognitive dissonance. We all need to think, “What is the ideal form of government? What is the ideal form of economic distribution?” It’s each of our responsibility to think that way and logically inquire. Oftentimes, our good nature is preyed upon, and we are in a situation where we want abundant life for everybody but the way that we go about it, or the system that’s presented to us or promise that it will provide that thing is absolutely faulty and it will provide the opposite.
It will cause the opposite situation of what we are looking to create. That is the intro to the idea of social engineering or social priming. I’m going to do a little mini-series on this because it’s a lot and I don’t want to overwhelm you with it. I’m going to break these up into episodes. Next episode, we are going to be talking about the social programming of an individual and how that looks. We are going to look at how that plays out in society and what to do about it. What is the solution? That’s it though, for this episode of the Rise to Reign. Thank you so much for reading. I will see you next time.

Women are not wired to experience success in the same texture as men. There’s a bioLOGICAL reason why you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, turned off and burned out (as well as have a hard time relaxing, having fun and enjoying your hard won success) And there’s a bioLOGICAL solution as well.
I burned down everything I built in my hustle era and through a process of death and rebirth, began to practice creating from the center of my femininity, in devotion to, held by and contained within the ultimate masculine structure - Father God.
This space and my trademarked Rise to Reign framework are devoted to feminine reclamation: healing our relationship with the masculine (God, men + money). I’m so honored to walk alongside you on our journey home - to God, ourselves and our rightful place as the crown jewel of creation.
I built an entire business on female “empowerment” and lived what I taught but wound up feeling burned out and far from my purpose with frustrating health issues and problems in my relationships.
What I learned the hard way is embodiment (not empowerment) is where feminine fulfillment is found. The timeless truths of unique, feminine biology and divine design, are where our true power lies.
When you remember and reclaim your feminine identity, you experience ease, flow and alignment in your life. First, you have to shine the light of self awareness on the wounds and patterns that keep you stuck. In this free downloadable guide, I walk you through the four Rise to Reign Archetypes and how to use them to cultivate more love, ease and flow in your life.
